Your're right Drake all money raised goes to the childrens advocacy center, but you still can hold charity events that are sn qualifiers. To be quite honest ratsa** key im not sure why its not a sn qualifier. The two guys that are putting it on just enjoy playing disc golf and what to help what they hold close to their heart.

is there any paper-work involved with making it an SN qualifier? I'm just curios, I've never looked into the southern nationals

Re: Ice Bowl Feb. 13th 2010
there is actually paperwork involved in getting a event made into a sn qualifier. if my memory serves me correctly at one point southern nationals would waive the 2 dollar a head fee if it was a charity event, but because people took advantage of it they reinstated the 2 dollar a head.

Ice Bowl entries
By ladies, do you mean am. woman, pro women if any or just all women together? Only asking because there was a pro woman that came to the Sunset Classic.
Re: Ice Bowl Feb. 13th 2010
There will be seperate divisions for women, but lets say only one pro women shows up. She would be playing with the am women because she would have nobody to play with. She would only be playing with the am women and not competeing against them for first, second, third ect...

The $2 from each player in a SN sanctioned tournament (excluding Jr. and Novice) is paid back to the players in the Championship tournament at the end of the year. The $2 per player is put into the fund to buy prizes by division, and as you can imagine, the payouts at the SNAC are humongulous, last year the SNAC payout was $31,538, with LAST PLACE IN AM's GETTING $124
If you have not had a chance to play in a SNAC (Sn Am Champ), or SNPC (pro) or SNDC (doubles), all you need is 1 point to qualify, in other words, if you have played in 1 SN tournament that year, you can play in the championships. So anybody who played in the Sunset Classic this year is qualified for either SNAC or SNPC, and if you played in the Life's A Breeze Doubles, you can play in the SNDC.
This year, the SNAC and SNPC will both be held concurrently in Memphis, TN on Sep 4 and 5, and you will play 4 different courses.
The 2010 SNDC will be held in Mobile, Al on July 17 and 18, but they haven't decided which courses yet, probably 4 different ones as well.
If you guys want to hold a SN tournament, singles or doubles, or both, in Ft. Wally so more peeps can get points to qualify for the championships, I would be happy to assist.

There is not alot of paperwork per se, but you have to abide by a bunch of rules (PDGA mostly). The most complicated parts are keeping up with the scores, including posting them, and keeping up with the payouts. Other than that it is not too bad.
