i got two strokes back on the lead guy, but others like me did good. i am three strokes back now playing the back tees at the home course. shortest hole is 325 ft and longest at 720 ft. the average is like 450. wish me luck. i am on lead card. also when billy krump was watching us on a hole i drilled a 50 ft jump putt.

Luke plays just one round today in the afternoon. Tied for fourth but yesterdays second round he shot the third best score with a 51 - T. Covington shot a 50 and A. Kaluk tossed a 48. Luke and I put together a game plan and he has stuck to it. First round was to shoot par... he did. Second round was to get back a couple of strokes and shoot under par... he did. Speaking with Luke after each round he told me that the nerves were now gone and he realizes that there is still alot of golf to play. For today, we talked about playing on the lead card and how to play smart when others got or get into trouble to pick up strokes. Look for Luke to continue to gain some strokes back today if the distance of the course does not hurt him to much. Go get them Luke - have fun and remember to enjoy the event!

Luke is struggling a bit but still in 5th - he has missed 8 to 10 putts in the 10 to 15 foot range and his long putts (30 to 50 ft) have not been there for him. He is at this minute starting the afternoon round and I have asked him to relax and have fun... to play his game and I am sure he will gain on the field. His dad says that he does notice a huge difference in the 13 year olds compaired with the 11 and 12 year olds... If this is true Luke will be the man to beat next year... GO Luke!
